Cara is so down to earth and touches your heart with every day experiences and truly makes you think! I like horses, so it’s an extra plus. Almost every day it really makes me think about her story and the verses she has included with the story. Like the one I read today about Forgiveness. We should forgive like the Lord has forgiven us!Read: Colossians 3:13The pictures of the horses are the best! It is such a well printed book and a great price!Thank you Cara!!! This book is so awesome and I plan on buying several for Christmas gifts!God has truly blessed you with your devotions.And of course, we love Larry! I am taking my time reading this book... one chapter a day. I searched for this book after completing a 5-day reading plan by the author in my YouVersion Bible app. I loved the reading plan and wondered if there might be a corresponding book. This is that book! As a longtime horse owner and rider, I appreciate the spiritual insights based on observations and interactions with horses. I look forward to each chapter and find the verses and insights helpful. They give me good subjects to meditate on daily.
This is a wonderful devotional, written plain, straight-forward....but really tells it like it is. It's not all fluff, it really speaks to the heart. Yes it is horse-related but this would be a perfect book for anyone looking for encouragement and understanding. She writes about every day problems and how they relate to different passages in the Bible. I saw the author on RFD and I think they ought to put a copy of the DVD with the book. A man called into the show talking about the problems going on in the farming community with low prices, high inputs and high suicide rates. This book would be great encouragement for someone going thru emotions that could end their life.I love this devotional so much that I'm fixing to order my 5th and 6th copies, I've been handing them out as gifts to my friends and family as birthdays come along. God is blessing so many people thru this book!!!
I cannot express how much I love this book. The devotional and horse reference combination is perfectly wonderful. I have already recommended this book to others. I have had devotionals with an equine theme before but this one is by far the best. Plus it is hardback which is nice and the pictures inside are beautiful. I look forward to reading it each day. Even if you do not have interactions with horses you can still get a lot out of this book, from the bible references to the prayers at the end. Read this book.
This book! I’ve read this as one of my morning devotions for the past few months, reading one entry per day, and what a wonderful book it is! Cara’s devotions, related to the love she has for her horses, have been a true blessing to me. The photography is spectacular. If you love horses, this book is a must-have! The lessons learned of a God-centered life are profound. Many of her devotions inspired a poem in my heart for that day!
As an animal lover, God has often touched my heart and taught me lessons through my pets and nature. I feel as though I've met a kindred spirit reading this devotional. The stories bring back memories and make me smile. I bought two copies---one for me and one for a friend whose horses are her family.
Wonderful devotional book for horse lovers. Simply written. Cara writes about her everyday experiences with horses that horse owners can relate to and ties it in with God's scriptures for our daily walks with him. I love this book and am so glad I bought it. It is a must have for horse owners or people who love horses. This book would be a great gift for a horse lover, too. The photos that are tied in with each devotional are beautiful. Can't say enough about this book! Thanks Cara for writing such a beautiful devotonal book.
Saw the promo of Cara and hubby on TV so I decided to order this. I like it! I've been reading it, but I may give it to a young teenage girl who is very into horses.....hopefully, it'll be even more helpful in drawing her to the Lord. Each devotional is only a page and a half or two.
