Total waste. My daughter and I were so excited to get this book. It is not at all like we thought. It is a cute concept except she already does something like this in school. This is a journal. It does not talk about jobs or career path. After your 18th “entry” it discusses how to look at a career choice. My 8 year old made the best comment for this, “if you don’t know what you want to do before 18 you’re in big trouble. You have to pick college before that.”

I grabbed this book for my youngest after hearing about it from another parent. I think Karleen's workbook should be required curriculum in our schools, as it builds a catalog of a child's honest thoughts as they age. These thoughts are often forgotten or dismissed as unimportant later in life but really can be used to information to reflect on when considering those pivotal life decisions.I can't wait for my son to be able to look back and be informed from his childhood. I only wish I had done the same!

I work with adults who are, sometimes by choice and sometimes by circumstances beyond their control, making career choices in mid life - and to help them view their situation more positively, we often go back to childhood memories of games they played that indicated what they wanted to be when they grew up. A child who takes time to notice those dreams early in life would have a better chance of seeing them manifest sooner. I really like the idea behind this book - and I think empowering parents will too.

disliked the no real introduction of the "work book". I was lead to believe that stickers or cut-outs or instructions re: how to draw characters of "self" would have been included. feel ripped off!!!

Wonderful book! Our grandson will love this, perfect Christmas gift! We appreciate the way the questions evolve each year. The concept is brilliant! When our granddaughter turns 6 she'll get her own copy.

Like so many others who've commented on this wonderful book, I wish I had such a tool growing up. Happily, I now have a tool I can give to my grandchildren who have no idea how much anxiety it will save them. If there's a kid you care about, add it to there library right now!
